Sea Sure

Sleepy santoña sits in the sea

Dreaming of tomorrow

And what it will be .

A little girl plays

On the sand so secure

Ignoring the waves

As they crash and roar.

The port stands far off

Breasting the swell

Calming the element

It knows so well.

And you ask yourself

'What about me?"

If I crossed this vast main

Would I finally be free?

Like the rivers that flow

From source to mouth

Or the bird that flies steady

From north to south .

It will take all you have

To reach the far shore

So go when you're ready

And find out for sure.
