You are in the dance of the trees ,
The colour of autumn leaves , the way a sleeping child breathes , the places of hope and peace , you are in these.
You were there , you always have been
In Winter’s dark,
when everything seemed
So hard
And no one knew or cared
Only day after day
You stayed.
Then when spring came
There you were again
A leaping flame
The sparkle on the sea
A fresh morning breeze
Gentle blue sky
Delicate green
All of these.
You are not tame
But neither wild,
Oh, you are so kind
And what's more
Spirit,
You are mine .
And in the summertime
With its endless trying
As the seagulls cry
You bring rest,
With every breath
So in this season,
Dear companion
Hold my hand and
Let all reason
And falseness abandon
Trusting in you
To see me through
And what's more
Bear the fruit of love
That you planned
For Eden.
